2. Energy Considerations in Real Estate / 22.5 hrs / $159

Learn about your home's energy use, insulation & weatherization, sources of air leaks in the home, heating & cooling tips, heat pump usage, fireplace tips, programmable thermostats, buying new windows, Torchiere lamps to save on electricity, appliance usage tips, indoor air hazards, radon, lead, asbestos, remodeling considerations, carbon monoxide in the home, etc. The course also includes a section on Manufactured housing.

3. Home Inspection Techniques for Real Estate Professionals / 22.5 hrs / $159

Learn about drainage considerations, the main components of the home, common problems that home inspectors look for including: in the roof, cracks, electrical, plumbing & mechanical considerations and concluding with termites and infestation issues.

4. Real Estate Issues Affecting the New Millennium / 12 hrs / $79

Learn about the Federal National Mortgage Agency (Fannie Mae), programs available, Income Tax considerations that affect real estate professional and the economic impact of re-sales on the overall economy is also discussed.

5. Condo's Co-Op's & Interior Considerations / 7.5 hrs / $55

This interesting class includes: interior decorating issues such as use of colors, textures & materials in the decorating process. Learn from the pros what to consider when redecorating a home with special sections on bathroom & kitchen remodeling/decorating jobs. The first portion of this course covers condominiums and cooperatives and considerations such as: what to consider when deciding on a location, learning about the background of the builder/developer and budget considerations that can affect new buyers of condo or co-op projects.

6. Investment Plans to Create Wealth in Real Estate / 7.5 hrs / $55

Learn about the chronological investment period, setting up a winning financial plan, investment strategies for your 30's, 40's, & beyond; buying distressed properties, considerations when buying foreclosures and using apartment buildings to build wealth and financial stability.

7. Governmental Agencies & their Role in the RE Industry / 7.5 hrs / $55

Learn about the role of FEMA (the Federal Emergency Management Agency), the Federal Reserve System, the Governmental Services Agency and how to buy surplus property from the government and learn how property is disposed of. This course also covers how interest rates are affected by numerous economic indicators that are regularly publicized but not well understood.

8. Understanding Your Environment (revised from 4.5 hrs) / 7.5 hrs / $55

This course covers: wood infestation issues, radon, asbestos and lead in residential settings. Specific items include: termites, carpenter ants and information on radon levels all around the State.

9. Property Management for Real Estate Professionals / 3 hrs / $30

Learn how to screen tenants, move-in & move out procedures, laws affecting the industry, agency considerations and other basic concepts in the field.
